A couple of pictures from our last Monthly Intensive Keiko on the 30th March. Our usual Dojo was unavailable so we trained in the living room of one of our members. Sometimes it is refreshing and a useful challenge to be in a less familiar space. Not being the ideal shape or size, the space offers restrictions which needing to be constantly adapted to, encourages spacial awareness and discourages complacency. Training only in a wide open space allows for a vigorous practice but doesn’t help in developing the kind of skill necessary to train in a wider range of circumstances.
